Tixel relies solely on the precise application of heat to treat the skin. A grid of tiny pyramids the size of pinheads gently heat the skin, each of the contact points touching the skin for only a few thousandths of a second. Heat is transferred to the skin in a controlled manner, tightening and rejuvenating its surface.

Skin is tighter, the signs of damage reduced.
Tixel treatment delivers three main outcomes – skin tightening, skin resurfacing, and enhanced drug delivery.
The contact made with the skin is only momentary, meaning discomfort is minimal when compared to other resurfacing and tightening treatments such as a CO2 laser. Tixel results in significantly less charring and redness.
Tixel has a number of settings, which can be divided into two categories – ablative and non-ablative. Tixel Glow is a non-ablative, less intensive treatment with a short recovery period. Non-ablative treatments are suitable for those with less available downtime while the healing process completes.
Tixel Intense and Tixel Super Intense are ablative treatments which penetrate more deeply into the skin and treat a larger area in a single session.
This depends on the type of Tixel treatment you’re getting. We will discuss your options during your consultation.
For the first two days, a moisturiser should be applied every 3-4 hours and then twice a day until the healing process is complete. Avoid make-up for 2-3 days after an ablative Tixel treatment. It is important not to pick at the treated skin as it heals.
