Understand the condition of your moles and treatment options at Emma J Aesthetics in Inverness.
Book ConsultationSome moles are with us from birth but most develop during the course of our lives through exposure to the sun and increased melanin production. Moles come in a variety of shades, from flesh-coloured to brown. Some are hairy and others are smooth; some protrude while others are flush to the skin. Though most moles are benign, it’s important to keep an eye on them, looking for changes in colour or shape that might indicate cancer.
At Emma J Aesthetics, we offer mole removal treatment, but first of all we screen you to map your body and facial moles. It’s important to understand the condition of your moles before deciding on a treatment plan, and if we see something that concerns us, we will inform you during your consultation.
Moles are localised clusters of pigment-forming cells (melanocytes) in the skin. Some are present from childhood onwards, but others form over time due to exposure to the sun.
Moles are extremely common and tend to be harmless, but they can also become cancerous. Mole screening at Emma J Aesthetics enables you to have a full grasp of the number and state of your moles, understanding if any are worthy of medical concern and determining a mole-removal treatment plan for benign but unwanted pigmentation.
If a mole is changing in size, shape or colour, or if a mole is bleeding, go to your GP without delay.
A top to toe mole-screening session takes around 45 minutes.
A lightweight serum containing all natural agents to brighten the complexion and reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone. Hydroquinone-free.
